At VSI Aerial, these skills have been acquired over the course of 15 years of military and civilian aviation experience, and over eight years of ground and aerial photography experience. We bring that total experience to every client we serve.

WHAT TYPE OF DRONES DOES THE DRONE COMPANY HAVE?

At VSI Aerial, we currently provide all aerial services via two core platforms with an DJI Inspire 1 Professional and a DJI Phantom 4 Professional. We have multiple backup airframes of each, so we never have to worry about a drone not being available to provide drone services to our clients.

Our DJI Inspire 1 platform carries a X5 16MP/4K micro 4/3 DSLR camera with interchangeable lenses, this drone can be single operated or dual operated with a second camera operator. We have available a 12mm lens (photo and video, wide angle lens for very broad landscapes or close big subjects that otherwise would not be completely in the frame) | a 15mm lens ( photo and video, same as the 12, just slightly narrower | more normal field of view) | 45mm lens (photo and video | getting close to subject while maintaining medium distance)| and a 35-100mm lens (photo only, for inspection purposes, which can read serial numbers off power line components while maintaining over 100ft of distance). Each lens has its purpose which makes our Inspire 1 platform very versatile.

The X5 camera from our Inspire 1 Pro is also used with the same lenses listed above attached to a handheld gimbal for ground shooting, and we do provide ground video/photos. On request we will provide the X5R for raw 4K video, although this is usually only used for broadcast television or major motion pictures.

Our DJI Phantom 4 Professional drone carries a 20mp/4K camera, and is used as a back-up for our Inspire 1 Pro and for tight spaces where a larger drone such as the inspire will not fit safely.

HOW WILL THE DRONE COMPANY DELIVER THE AERIAL PHOTOS AND VIDEOS TO YOU?

Many startup drone companies are learning how to deliver aerial photos and videos to their clients in the formats and resolutions that best suit the needs of clients. At VSI Aerial, once the on-site portion of a drone services project is complete, all content is uploaded to secure physical and cloud storage. All of our photos are edited in Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop. We can deliver photos formatted and exported for any size, medium, and resolution.

Our drone videos are edited in Final Cut Pro X and professionally color graded with Color Finale Pro. We work with our clients on larger projects throughout the editing process to maintain efficiency, and to ensure the vision/content is developed concurrently. Once our content is ready for delivery it is made available electronically via a Private Google Drive for photos, and for video through our Professional private Vimeo Account. All cloud hosted drone photos are actual size, not degraded in any manner, and can be downloaded by the client electronically or shared to the client's employee in charge of that media. All cloud hosted drone videos through Vimeo are uploaded in 4K plus resolution, but can be downloaded in over 6 options of resolution and can be privately hosted and publicly embedded with custom client logo and verbiage.
