The Washington DC area contains a 15-nautical-mile Flight Restricted Zone (FRZ) around Reagan National Airport (DCA), with a tighter 7-nautical-mile inner zone that requires a Government Endorsement. Both zones demand specific FAA and federal authorization before any flight can legally occur.
